Homemade Cheese Ball Recipe

No matter who the “big cheese” is in your home, you’ll all have a ball with this easy to make recipe. Grab your favorite whole-grain crackers and dig in!

Prep time: 5-10 minutes Serves 4

¼ cup finely ground pecans
2 heaping tablespoons low-fat cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded reduced-fat Swiss cheese (such as Jarlsberg Lite)
½ teaspoon dried mustard
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1¼ tablespoon horseradish sauce
½ teaspoon port wine

Spread the pecans on a plate; set it aside. In a medium-size bowl, mix
all ingredients except the nuts until they are thoroughly combined. Shape
the cheese into a ball and roll it in the nuts until the cheese ball is covered.
Serve immediately, or refrigerate and serve later at room temperature. `

Tip: The horseradish sauce is much smoother and lighter tasting than straight horseradish, yet it still provides a little kick to keep things interesting.

Enjoy!
