My New Toy!

Got a new toy this week, a blast and eco-friendly. A Pedego Electric Bike–when you’re runnin’ on empty just turn up the juice. Exercise and good clean FUN! I love it.

You’re a writer? Your testimonial letter to Pedego is an embarrassment.

How could you NOT know that “peddle” means “to offer for sale”? It has NOTHING to do with the parts of a bicycle where you place your feet or with the action you perform—both the noun and the verb are spelled “pedal.”

Sheesh!

Hi David,
You are so right, I am embarrassed that I spelled pedal incorrectly based on the context in which it was written. You are very kind to point it out to me. There are times when we rush a bit too much and silly mistakes are made, thank Goodness to err is human, and now you know that I am.
Sincerely,
Janet
p.s. — He who peddles carries small articles, goods, wares, etc. from place to place for sale at retail. Not to be confused with one who pedals a bicycle or a petal born from a flower.

Thank you for that gracious response to my overly harsh comment!

Sometimes my frustration over most people’s lack of interest in language prevents me from recognizing honest errors and defeats my natural inclination toward politeness.

The embarrassment is all mine.

I got my pedego about a year ago when I became a dealer, and I love it! I ride to and from school, the store, the library, and to the beach on the weekends! Riding to and from school on my PEDEGO, helps relieve a lot of stress I experience being a new student back in college! I will not trade my PEDEGO for anything!

Hi Jenn,

We took our Pedego’s to the beach this weekend and had such a great time, they’re just so much fun. You’re right too that they have a way of alleviating stress. They’re just so easy, we pedal when we want and we coast when we want, it really is a joy ride.

Take care,

Janet
