EAT A PEACH

Updated: Sep 25, 2021

When I think of summer foods, a peach is as perfect as it gets. While not a significant nutrient source, it does provide some Vitamin C, potassium, fiber and iron. You can't beat the luscious, sweet flavor enjoyed when you eat a peach straight from the farmers market. What to do with too many? Slice and freeze, make a batch of jam or chutney, bake a cobbler or muffins, use in Sangria, or try my favorite, a Peachy Keen Smoothie.

Healthier Choice: If you can, go with organic produce, especially when you are going to eat the skin.
